DER STAMMBAUM
Josephine is the story of an adorable, but a bit rebellious fairy, who learns what life
is all about through her numerous experiences.
Basically fairies would be creatures who are full of love for humans and their main
goal is to help people with their wishes.
Not so for our Josephine, also called Joey. Nevertheless she is full of love for
others, but in her body there are two souls. One who loves life in the elf country
and loves all the creatures in this universe and then there’s another one --- her
rebellious soul.
She wants to have fun, wants to experience all kinds of adventures and for her the
life of other fairies is often rather boring.
Well, if weren’t for her mother – the head of the elf council – life would still be the
same for her. But because of her numerous escapades her mother finally had to do
something – though a rather tough decision for Rebecca, as she wanted her
daughter to stay.
Joey gets dispelled out of “paradise”. That is absolutely against her will, however
she finds out soon that being rebellious doesn’t help her at all.
She knows that in order to come back to her family and her friends she has to give
in to the orders of the council. How she hates that!
Joey learns her first lesson; that rebellion doesn’t really get you on in life,
but rather demands a lot of energy which could be used more wisely in other
areas of life.
As a result of the council’s mission Josephine gets the opportunity to grow and to
put her focus on what is really important in life – namely love. Love of all kinds that
life has to offer. As in a friendship to her new found friend Susan or love disguised
in the missing of her family and friends, or also love in the form of anxiety for
Susan’s life. Love has many faces.
Despite her growth, Joey is a very impatient fairy. As soon as her mission is over
she demands to go back home.
Well, then Joey learns another lesson. That one can’t expect anything from
life. One can hope for something to happen, but a real guarantee can’t be
given that everybody else does what she wants.
Now, comes the real deal – if Josephine really got her lesson right. Not only was her
lesson the success of the mission, but also to learn how to surrender to life. To take
humbly what life demands of you and to discover that if one does something good,
good will be life’s answer.
Well, for this she has more time and opportunity in her next mission.
